Business Description

Brooks' Family Farm originated with the idea of handing down a legacy to our four daughters. High quality meat is one of the most important goals of the operation.

"Raising meat goats can be a profitable small farm venture. Currently, in the United States, there is a higher demand for goat meat, also called chevon, than there is a supply. Many ethnic groups who live in the United States—from Hispanic to Eastern European to Southeastern Asian—rely on the lean, tasty meat as a protein staple." Guide to Raising Goat Meat by Lauren Arcuri.

Brooks' Family Farm is located 9016 Old West Point Road, Starkville, MS 39759, on five acres of pasture with one shed and pond and two acres home.

Currently the farm has five high quality goats, two sheds; one that houses the goats and a shed for the hay and feed.

The farm has been operational since ladder 2017 beginning with two neutered Australian Nubian Goats to learn the operation. 2018 and 2019 were two learning years but 2020 was NOT as productive for learning because of the Pandemic in the world.

The structure is comprised of co-managers, board of directors with officers.
